Red Dot Technologies Limited (RDT) announces the acquisition of Selva Integrated Systems Limited (SIS) - (Building management systems integrator) for an undisclosed sum.

SIS is a leading producer of integrated alarm and building management systems and is widely respected throughout the security industry for their market leading Santana Systems brand. The uniqueness of the Santana concept enables the complete integration of all building systems (Fire, Security, Access, CCTV, BMS) irrespective of the equipment manufacturer. Significant R&D investment over a 17 year period has ensured the development of a robust product range with capabilities extending to cover large and multi-site customer environments.

Red Dot Technologies Ltd Managing Director, Bill Amlani, said "There is an obvious synergy between SIS and our fire detection manufacturing business, Rafiki Protection Limited. Rafiki Protection Ltd has recently introduced its "Quadnet" addressable fire detection system designed for large networked sites. This new system, along with the majority of other manufacturer's products, can be linked into the Santana alarm management solution providing the end user customer with a "manufacturer independent" total management solution. The entire network is controlled by a graphical, touch screen user interface and all critical events can be remotely relayed anywhere in the world using the SanGrafx mobile solution.
